Clarissa Pruden, General Manager for Playtime Casino Kelowna, was joined by Gateway’s CEO, Tony Santo, His Honorable Mayor Colin Basran, and BCLC’s CEO, Jim Lightbody as they cut the ribbon and commemorated the opening of Kelowna’s spectacular new entertainment destination.
Gateway proudly announced that the Playtime Casino Kelowna employees selected Karis Support Society as the charity partner for their Grand Opening. For the month of March, portions of the sites’ food and beverage sales will be donated to Karis in support of the important work that they do in the Kelowna community to empower and equip women, and women with children, in need, with the skills that they need to successfully transition back in to society.

Located in the Delta Grand Hotel on the shores of Okanagan Lake, Playtime Casino Kelowna, a $3.6 Million renovation of the Lake City Casino, is the first of Gateway’s new signature casino brand – Playtime Casino. The facility has been transformed into a fun and exciting new local entertainment destination that boasts food and beverage offerings that are incomparable to the old facility. The renovation of the site has also seen the addition of over 50 jobs to the team, bringing the Playtime Casino Kelowna employee count to over 270 team members.

Exciting Acquisition Marks the Latest Step in Gateway’s Growth Strategy
January 14, 2019 – Burnaby, BC – Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited (Gateway) announced today that it has acquired Chances Casino Kamloops (Chances Kamloops). Gateway will take over the day-to-day operations of the Chances Kamloops facility effective today. The acquisition makes Gateway the sole gaming provider in Kamloops, as the operator of both Cascades Casino Kamloops and Chances Kamloops.
This strategic acquisition marks the latest step in Gateway’s growth strategy which has seen the company expand their footprint and product offering across Canada with their proprietary casino and restaurant brands. With the addition of Chances Kamloops, Gateway now operates 26 properties in British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario with approximately 8,600 employees.
